Wherever you are in Brittany, the sea is never very far away. The coast is particularly known as a land of stones and the pink granite rocks along the coast have been eroded into fantastic shapes. For the inhabitants of Brittany, the traditions are really important so some still speak the breton language.​

CHARMING BRITTANY

Ile de Bréhat

In the early 20th century, the changing horizons of Bréhat with significant tidal heights, flowers as Hydrangeas, and creeks attracts artists and mostly famous painters like Foujita, Matisse and Henri Rivière come to draw inspiration.

Pont-Aven

The Pont-Aven School is the name that was given to group of very different artists who came paint in Pont-Aven. The most prominent artists were Paul Gauguin or Emile Bernard. There's another school in  Pouldu, about twenty kilometers far.

Ile d'Ouessant

The "Island of Sheeps" is the last French island before America, Gray seals and dolphins are visible and over 500 plant species are present on this piece of land. The semaphorewas transformed into a residence  for artists.

TRADITIONAL NORMANDY

The Normandy region is often associated to the World War II landing beaches but you will discover there a verdant interior of lush farmland, bustling market towns, and historic landmarks such as the cities of Caen, Bayeux and Rouen. Gastronomic delights are aboundant from fine cheeses to cider and calvados.

Giverny

By 1890, Claude Monet had bought home memorialized in so many of his paintings, particularly the water lily series. Today, art lovers come to see the colony of houses occupied by american impressionist painters of the mid 19th century.

Honfleur

Considered as the birthplace of impressionist painting. This charming harbor village, with narrow timbered houses dates from the 11th century, and has always attracted artists, among them Monet and the poet Baudelaire.

Mont Saint-Michel 

The enchanting abbey is perched precariously on a rocky islet connected to mainland France by a causeway. The tides race towards the isle is as speed as "galloping horses".

PICTURESQUE CASTLES

The kings were not mistaken in choosing the Loire, that the eponyme river is bathing in his heart, to build their chateaux. This area is considered as the holy of holies of the French spirit, a happy plenty summarizing the genius of our nation: Belles-lettres, sumptuous architecture, pleasant wines and fine dining​.

Château d' Ambroise

Amboise Castle translates the passage between Gothic-Medieval art and Italian taste Renaissance. A side of castles lies the Clos Lucé manor house, this is where Leonardo Da Vinci died, after spending three years.

Château de Chambord

Unesco World Heritage, this is the largest castle of the Loire ones. Masterpiece of the Renaissance, with at least 430 rooms, the Chambord's castle makes a double staircase known, one of the most significant architectural elements.

Château de Chenonceau

Chenonceau's castle, called the "castle of ladies" was constructed, built and transformed only by women. It's the only fortified bridge in the world. He is also known for its beautiful French Garden and a splendid labyrinth in the woods.

Winger-sur-Moder

The jeweler René Lalique found his workshop here, far away from the parisian life to reconnect with nature. His first creations were glass perfume bottles. Nowadays, Lalique creativity is about jewelries and items of glassware and crystal ware.

Colmar

According to Georges Duhamel, Colmar, also called the little Venice and the Bartholdi's cradle, is "the most beautiful town in the world". The houses on both sides of the river, was inhabited by wine producers and market gardeners.

Strasbourg

This city is a mix between European openmind and French history, between traditional Franco-German architecture and ultra modern one. His historic city centre, the Grande Ile, is classified World Heritage site by the Unesco.

Open to the world and thriving in the heart of the European economic basin, the Alsace, rich in UNESCO heritages, enjoys a prodigious natural and architectural environment. The tops: Christmas in Strasbourg, the Christmas capital, and the Colmar Festival, recognized as one of the best European music festivals by the New York Times.
